#1. DO YOU REALLY NEED A PUPPY TODAY?
#2. DOES A BREEDER, THAT DOES NOT SHOW THEIR DOGS IN NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED EVENTS, KNOW WHAT "SHOW QUALITY" IS? DO THEY EVEN KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY SPELL C-O-N-F-O-R-M-A-T-I-O-N? Many Canadian breeders are reliable, but MOST other registries require only 3 shows for a title. Yes, I believe that the UKC and International titles are NOT worthy as an evaluation of breeding stock.
#3 DOES THE BREEDER YOU WANT A PUPPY FROM "TODAY" HAVE TO ADVERTISE ON NATIONAL INTERNET SITES AND IS WILLING TO SHIP THEIR PUPPIES "ANYWHERE" A PLANE FLIES? FOR AN EXTRA FEE, OF COURSE. OH, AND PAYPAL IS AN OPTION? RUN FROM THESE RED FLAGS!
#4 DOES THE BREEDER YOU WANT A PUPPY FROM "TODAY" say that their dogs have OFA or PennHip clearances, yet you haven't been able to verify this on the organization's web site? (you better research, anyone can SAY they have the clearances) Why would someone NOT do health clearances? They don't want to SPEND the money...............they just want to MAKE money. No, they don't care if you end up spending thousands of dollars to care for an unhealthy dog. A 2 year guarantee? Why not lifetime? What are they afraid of?
#5 DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT A PUPPY OUT OF "NON AKC CHAMPION" PARENTS, NOT COMPLETELY HEALTH TESTED, BRED TO THE SAME PAIR TIME AFTER TIME; LIVING ON A CHAIN IN A DOG RUN AND HAD TO BE SHIPPED FROM SOME FAR AWAY LAND BECAUSE NO ONE IN THE U.S. WOULD SELL THE BREEDER A GOOD DOG......IS WORTH $2000? HOW ABOUT $2500? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
